It's an interesting design as far as a commercial space station is concerned. What I find particularly interesting however, is that it's design is appropriate for a Space Station with a fair amount of mobility that would be suitable as something of a refinery and relay station for a mining operation in say a proto-planetary disc. Receiving raw ores and materials from mining vessels, smelting the useful ores into bars and packaging various non-metal bi-products for easy shipment on larger cargo vessels.
