I did a second render of this, substituting a skylight for one of the omnis and showing the detail a bit better. I like the flat graphic quality of the original version, but it's not quite flat *enough* to get the proper effect. This is a much more traditional approach. I'm tempted to texture this, but it's a question of finding the time, as always. :)

The Work look good, but the arms bother me they seem that one, the shoilder piece can't hold the weaght of the arm. Second, the hand unit also can't old anything too heavy. Besides that it is fine.

Very awesome design! I don't see you draw/ render Bipedal mechs much. What's your inspiration for them?

I was thinking of a few different things when I did this- the upper body has a lot of influence from the Sdkfz 250 251/1, and there's lots of SF3D and 80's anime bits in there (mostly Macross and Orguss). I also really like the sort of structures you see on car suspensions and earthmoving equipment.

Wonderful mech design - very simple, but it looks wonderfully maneuverable. Sorry, but looking at it I can't help but imagine my 10-year-old self dying to play with this and put a Stormtrooper in it and making it sprint around my backyard!
