Sketch of a design for a new personal project I'm working on. It's a working boat, mostly designed for extracting subsurface liquid resources on rocky worlds with low-gravity to microgravity environments. Sort of a flying oil well.

Such a cool concept! Love all the tiny details that give it that great sci-fi feel.

I love how your industiral ships do have the clunky, rough industrial feel to them, as they rightly should.

I've been toying with the idea of some more vertical ships, and this does show how to pull one off in a superb way.

Nice. Reminds me of those massive dragline excavators used in open-cast mining. Like a previous poster, I imagine it with a flaky construction-yellow paintjob. Oh, and big corporate logos on the large flat surfaces.

looks great, but since the engines are only mounted on the back, it would have no way of stabilizing or stopping itself in the vacuum of space or microgravity environments.
