I've decided to take a different and (hopefully) more original approach to the idea of very small tanks for the short I'm working on. It's easier to show than tell, so I put up a short clip on Google. The animation is pretty rough still, especially on the figure, but I should have that cleaned up shortly. Just thought I'd show everyone what I was working on.
The warhead uses a heavy percussor on a spring at the base of the hollow charge. Impact would slam it forward into the detonator, firing the hollow charge. Because it's a hollow charge, an armored vehicle could fire it at very close range- but any associated infantry would have a very bad day in the process.
So infantry support is not a good Idea when utilising such weapon? Tank with tank, infantry versus infantry. Tank go against infantry isn't really a good equation? It can't go alone unless in a formation something.
Well, infantry support for armor is always a good idea. You just don't want to use the main weapons at pointblank range in their presence, but that's true of most heavy weapons. Ideally, something like this would be deployed with a squad or two of mechanized infantry- preferably on bikes or some sort of fast LAV. Scouting work and whatnot.
Checked out the test-render... great movement mate. Starting to look peachy! I was wondering: how do you put a clip up on google? Tnx in advance chief.
